apologies for cross-postings but you may be interested in these 
forthcoming events which have been partially supported by 
Interdisciplinary Arts Department.

This week, Neuroaesthetics at Goldsmiths College will ask whether 
artists as well as scientists can investigate the brain. Speakers 
include Brian Massumi, Marcus Novak, Olafur Eliassen, Scott Lash, 
Kodwo Eshun, Daniel Glaser,  and Paul D. Millar/ DJ Spooky. For more

In June at Watershed in Bristol a free two day event - 14th and 15th 
June - will explore the potential of broadband as a new space for 
cultural collaboration, research and production. Speakers will 
include leading policy makers, broadcasters and artists.  For more 
information and to be placed on invitation list contact 
hechtan at ahrc.ac.uk as soon as possible.

In early July, at King's College in Cambridge, social anthropologists 
join choreographers, artists, software programmers, architects and 
historians of science to debate the role and function of description 
within the creative process. Speakers include Christopher Alexander, 
Thomas Lehmen, Simon Shaffer and Jaromil.  For more information see
