i checked out FNAC = http://www.fnac.com/
and it had some great deals!!

There is great difficulty getting funding in Australia go to ISEA ,   
due to the priorities of our funding bodies tending towards Venice   
Biennial type events rather than Electronic Arts Festivals; which  
means many artists and writers  can not attend even tho it is  
relatively geographically close.

ANAT was able to quarantine some of our professional development  
grant funding to bridge the gap in a small way, funding 4 people from  
a highly competitive call, - including two artists showing in an  
Australian exhibition, and two artsist presenting papers.

Perhaps we need a Global Network for Art and Technology to evenly  
distribute money  ?
