Betreff: [CDCinfo] taking a look at 'Subsumption' : searching for
critical urban research agents in Athens!
Datum: Tue, 21 Oct 2014 16:35:15 +0200
Von: oliver lerone schultz <vision at assemblies.cc>
dear colleagues,
'Enclosures of New Athens. Sightseeing new localisations of power' will
be a workshop in the confines of 'New Babylon Revisited', curated by
Daphne Dragona and supported by Goethe Institut Athens, taking place
between Nov. 3rd and 9th.
... and we are still looking for partners in Athens for 'critical
siteseeing' between Nov. 3rd and 6th!
– if you know people and/or projects in Athens invested in researching –
practically, theoretically, academically – places and spaces in relation
to the constitution (or de-construction) of power, please forward the
following link:
http://001-newathens-event.subsumption.xyz/
... or put us in contact! :-)
the research-intervention is planned as Participatory Activist Research
(containing 'activism' as well as 'research') and will take the form of
an workshop on the commons and their (mediatic) enclosures. this
workshop I will do together with Adnan Hadzi (reSync) – using – amongst
other things – the PirateBox as a research collection vehicle and as
tool for collective medial methodology
(https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PirateBox). but we will also be
collaborating with the Athens Wireless Metropolitan Network
(http://www.awmn.net/) and others.
– it will also be the first phase of the re-activation of the ‚Glossary
of Subsumption' as a 'Collective Edition' (see
postmedialab.org/glossary-subsumption-workshop).
grateful for any support in this!
oliver
