A research project about bus stops was launched more than ten years ago in
Central Asia - Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan The research
in Caucasus was developed in the frame of "Alanika” symposium in 2014 where
it had the opportunity to further study the stops in Georgia,
Kabardino-Balkaria and North Ossetia. Now we can say that this photo
research covers all former Soviet part of the Silk Road, from the Pamir to
the North Caucasus. Soviet era itself, as a whole, can be regarded as a
stop on the Silk Road, which left a rich and significant cultural layer.
2. *Project: "Wandering Bus Stop" *by Jamshed Kholikov - visual artist,
Tajikistan.
"Wandering Bus Stop" is a mobile structure that can be transformed into an
art platform that can be placed in various locations around the city, town
or village...
"Wandering Bus Stop " is a format that moves away from the established
classic forms of conventional, fixed gallery or exhibition spaces, where
the viewer comes to the event.
This mobile platform can be transformed/modified depending on the needs of
art event or cultural activity into an exhibition space, space for film
screenings, music/sound performances and small theater productions. In this
format, the space itself comes directly to the public to present a venue,
and create a direct interaction.

In today's world social stratification takes a new shape. Classic divisions
of tops and bottoms, rich and poor, migrated into virtual space of social
networks and turned into popular and unpopular, readable and unreadable,
etc. etc. But in the recent past we have had our "faces” (Facebook) and
that was a "Board of Honor".
Persons presented on that surface where proud, respected, all of us
listened to their opinions, but sometimes they where also criticized. In
this project we intended to create similar “Board of Honor" for the
residents of Dushanbe. This Hall of Fame is to introduce publicly their
best citizens. But none of these people will be chosen, and people will not
look at the pictures in the framework... they will look at their own
reflection. The project involves the placement of the mirror boards of
honor on the streets. Above the mirrors will be placed the title "Board of
Honor -The best citizens" The purpose of the project is to show to the
citizens their value in today's society, regardless of their social status
or social networks.
BIO
Bakhytzhan Salikhov, was born in 1976, lives and works in Almaty, studied
at the National University named after Al-Farabi, Faculty of Philosophy and
Political Science, where he got a diploma at the Department of Philosophy

Central Asia" Dushanbe, organized by SCCA Almaty in 2004. Took part in
summer art school of art criticism, Almaty, organized by the Soros Fund,
Kazakhstan in 2002.

2. *Public intervention “Wish them luck!”* - Murod Sharifov- visual artist,
Tajikistan
Location: Pаrк Poytaht (Bogy Poitaht)
Аddress: 114, Karamov str. (Sino district), Dushanbe, Tajikistan
Time: 19.00-20.00

Most of the post-Soviet countries develop laws and create social and
environmental actions, but creating it all, they do not provide solutions
to solve these problems, do not contribute to and does not consult citizens
concerning certain important public issues.

But the main problem lies in the fact that when one authority decides to
solve a particular problem, the other authority does not give permission,
or creates obstacles in solving the issue. For such cases there is always a
person who solves these problems through corruption. The project aims to
identify the mechanism of bureaucratic corruption activities through
interventions in urban space.
In this project, there is a problem and there is a solution, though not
everyone is able to solve it. In this case, instead of list of tasks we
have a number of watering cans filled with sand / gravel signifying the
task/problem, and only one watering can is empty and one person who was
elected (corrupt person) can use a watering can, fill it with water and
watering green spaces, but some others who wish to follow his example (to
use watering can) will face the problem that they can not solve.
