What is slopulism? peripheral forms is calling it the politics of affect
without praxis. Endless circulation as policy. Humans were producing slop
before generative AI made it cheap, but now slop is scaling. When affect
becomes the site of politics rather than a resource for it, quality stops
mattering. Everything flattens into content.

peripheral forms is a collective experiment in making things that create
dimples across the flatness. A swarm. A score for actions that haven't been
written yet.

peripheral forms is looking for people who make work across mediums, across
networks, across physical space. People who think about governance as a
creative problem. People who can hold the tension between tool and market,
between speed and attention, between individual practice and collective
form. People who are building something that resists the flattening by
making things that are too dense to circulate without friction.
