edwin van der heide verfolgt den ansatz, die klanggenerierung von den membranen und elektromagneten herkömmlicher lautsprechersysteme zu lösen. im open studio entwickelt er ein direktes system von druckluftlautsprechern - eine kreuzung zwischen lautsprecher und musikinstrument.

mit livingtypes.compiler gibt jo fabian weitere autorenkompetenzen ab. über fünf keyboards, die am rande einer spielfläche aus quarzsand stehen, steuert das publikum die elemente tanz, licht, bild und klang. jo schramm gestaltete das licht und tamtam [sam auinger, hannes strobl] das klangmodul. künstler und besucher lassen sich auf das wagnis eines offenen prozesses ein.

edwin van der heide pursues the basic approach of liberating the generation of sound from the membranes and electromagnets of conventional loudspeaker systems. in an open studio he is developing a direct system of compressed air loudspeakers - a cross between loudspeaker and musical instrument.

with livingtypes.compiler, jo fabian has relinquished even more of his author's competences. with the aid of five keyboards around the edge of the stage area, the audience controls the elements of dance, light, image and sound. jo schramm created the light module and tamtam [sam auinger, hannes strobl] the sound module. artists and spectators get involved in the venture of an open process.
