die dokumentation des philips-pavillon auf der weltausstellung 1958 in
brüssel bildet den auftakt der veranstaltungsreihe virtual electronic
poem, einem projekt von tesla und elektronischem studio der tu berlin
bei ultraschall, dem festival für neue musik.

'landschaft mit argonauten'. als kontrapunkt zu den professionell

in einer aufwändigen kooperation mehrerer europäischer universitäten
wurde ein dreidimensionales grafisches und akustisches modell des
philips-pavillon und seiner audiovisuellen bespielung hergestellt. mit
einem datenhelm ausgestattet, kann der besucher in das poème
électronique eintauchen.

das 'poème électronique' gilt als eine der ersten multimedialen
installationen: le corbusier gestaltete den pavillon der firma philips
für die brüsseler weltausstellung 1958. iannis xenakis gestaltete die
architektur und edgard varèse komponierte die musik. kees tazelaar hat
diese musik anhand der originalen bänder von varèse rekonstruiert.
zusammen mit einer doppelprojektion des filmmaterials wird sie im kubus
zu erleben sein.

in vorbereitung auf seine performance 'kubic's cube' erarbeitet pablo
ventura im open studio eine choreografie für den dreieinhalb meter hohen
aluminiumroboter kubic. aus technischen gründen kann kubic nur bis

brussels constitutes the prelude to the virtual electronic poem series
of presentations. virtual electronic poem is a project of tesla and the
'elektronisches studio der tu berlin' and part of ultraschall, the
festival of new music.

müller's 'landscape with argonauts'. as counterpoint to the
professionally recited passages from poe's work, müller's text is spoken
by passers-by in boston who were spontaneously asked to read.

the 'poème électronique' is deemed to be one of the first multi-media
installations: le corbusier designed the pavilion of the philips company
for the 1958 world fair in brussels. iannis xenakis created the
architecture and edgard varèse composed the music. kees tazelaar has
reconstructed this music based on varèse original tapes. you can
experience the piece, together with a double projection of the film
material, in the kubus.
