zwei tage vor dem 11. september wurde ahmad schah massoud, einer der
wichtigsten widerstandskämpfer gegen die taliban getötet. 'exploding
camera' verwandelt den ausstellungsraum in ein experimentelles
filmstudio, das an ein schlachtfeld erinnert. vor dem hintergrund der
tatsachen und durch den prozess der bildproduktion werden
unglaublichkeit und wichtigkeit der ereignisse herausgearbeitet.
julien maire beschäftigt sich mit dekonstruktionen und neu-
erfindungen audio-visueller medien.

two days before september 11th, ahmad schah massoud, the most senior warchief and most credible opponent to the taliban, was murdered. 'exploding camera' transforms the exhibition space into an experimental film studio reminiscent of a battlefield. in the historical context, and through the process of image production, the absurdity and importance of the actual facts are brought to light. julien maire is interested in the deconstruction and rediscovery of audiovisual media.
