Recent 3D models of the clitoris completely modify our perception of female anatomy. By altering our relationship with sexuality and pleasure, this new mapping questions the way in which women's intimacy has been represented over the centuries. These representations of the organ, created by researchers Helen O' Connell and Odile Fillod or iconic sculptures by Sophia Wallace, reveal the beauty of the organ, its potential for creativity, joy and vitality.

‘The tip of the iceberg’ is a series of exhibits that will take place
in Paris in 2019 with numerous partners and venues.

Several events will punctuate the festival : shows, performances, professional meetings, conferences, installation, talks, demos, workshops, presentation of books and magazines.

The Open Call is for international artists, cultural practitioners, curators, theorists, researchers, therapists, sexual workers, activists of all ages and all genders.

Proposals will have to engage a dialogue and provide opportunities to highlight artistic, educational, scientific and social engagements.

Events will present a wide range of practices and give a comprehensive overview of the impact of the clitoris discoveries.

Contribution will span from addressing artistic, sexual, social and educational issues related to the freedom of pleasure coming from a variety of practitioners.

Under the title « The tip of the iceberg » the mixed jury will examine the artistic output dedicated to the consciousness of women genital after thousands of years of ignorance.

Art visuel, art plastique, art numérique, spectacle vivant/performance, workshop, conférence. 

Des représentations en 3D récentes du clitoris modifient complètement notre perception de l’anatomie féminine. En bouleversant notre rapport à la sexualité et au plaisir, ces nouvelles cartographies questionnent la manière dont l’intimité de la femme a été représentée au travers des siècles. 
Les modélisations de l'organe, réalisées par les chercheuses Helen O’Connell et Odile Fillod ou les sculptures
emblématiques de l’artiste Sophia Wallace, révèlent la beauté de l’organe, son potentiel de créativité, de joie et de vitalité.

La Pointe de l’iceberg est un festival qui se déroulera à Paris en 2019 en collaboration avec un réseau de lieux et structures partenaires qui accueilleront des expositions, des spectacles, des performances, des rencontres professionnelles, des conférences, des démos, des ateliers, des présentations de livres et de magazines.

L’appel à projet s’adresse à des artistes internationaux, commissaires d’exposition, critiques, théoricien(ne)s, auteur(e)s, chercheu(ses)rs, (sexo)thérapeutes, activistes quel que soit leur âge et leur genre.

Les propositions feront l'objet d'une réflexion sur le clitoris et témoigneront d’un fort engagement artistique, éducatif et social.

Les événements mettront en lumière une diversité de pratiques et donneront une vision de l'impact de la découverte du clitoris.

Les contributions soumises, par un large panel de praticien(ne)s, porteront sur des questions artistiques, sexuelles, scientifiques, sociales et éducatives liées à la liberté de prendre du plaisir. 

Le jury sera attentif aux propositions artistiques apportant un éclairage pertinent sur les découvertes de l’anatomie féminine et leurs répercussions après des milliers d’années d’ignorance.
