Shelley HIRSCH (New York) is ?an unorthodox extraordinary fusion of  
vocalist, composer and performance artist? (Anne LeBaron) whose work  
encompasses story telling pieces, staged performances, compositions,  
improvisations, collaborations, installations and radio-plays, which  
have been presented on 5 continents. She has performed hundreds of  
concerts of improvised music with many musicians i.e. Anthony Coleman,  
Christian Marclay, Ikue Mori, Toshio Kajiwara, Hans Reichel, Min Xiao  
Fen, Paul Lovens, DJ Olive, Joey Baron, Marc Ribot, Butch Morris,  
Elliot Sharp etc. She recorded for such labels as Tzadik, No Mans  
Land, Apollo, Innocence Records, FMP etc. with the likes of John Zorn,  
David Weinstein, Nicolas Collins, Jon Rose, Sven Ake Johannson,  
Alexander von Schlippenbach, Jin Hi Kim and many more. ?A woman of

Turntablist Joke LANZ (Berlin) creates autonomous sound-cells that  
melt into a language free of any function. He combines ritual  
reductionism with anarchistic playfulness, atmospheric soundscapes  
with cut-up noise and physicalness with unpredictability. Massive  
scratches, walls of sound, grooves, loops, noises and voice  
modulations lead you on a journey into a world of unknown sound holes  
and deep abstract rhythm constructions. Best known for his  
international acclaimed Noise project ?Sudden Infant?, Joke Lanz is  
presenting his work since 25 years all over the world. Born in  
Switzerland and currently operating out of Berlin, Joke Lanz is one of  
the most prolific and profound artists working in the border zones  
where performance and body art meet Improvisation and Noise. Joke Lanz  
has released his works on some of the most prominent record labels in  
the noise underground i.e. RRR, Schimpfluch, Tochnit Aleph, Blossoming  
Noise, Entr?acte, Artware, SSSM, Klanggalerie, Some Bizarre, iDeal Rec

Hild SOFIE TAFJORD (born Jan.4th 1974 in Ålesund, Norway), performer  
and composer. She plays frenchorn, electronics, and various  
instruments. She finished her studies in jazz and improvised music at  
the Norwegian State Academy of Music in Oslo 2001. She has made music  
for dance, film, theater, installations / sculptures, done  
performances, workshops and site specific concerts. She has played  
concerts, toured and worked with musicians and artists in Europe,  
Amerika, Canada and Asia. She is released at a.o. Rune Grammofon,  
Asphodel, ECM, Universal, Moserobie, Jazzland, Important Records,  
Psychform Records, Gameboy Records, OHM records.
Her range as a performer spans from electronic noise to acoustic horn.  
She plays mostly free improvised music, but is also working as an  
electronic music composer. Since 1995 she has been exploring unusual  
playing techniques to extend the language of the horn and to find the  
sonic possibilities of this specific instrument. The use of  
electronics are a natural extension in search of other sounds and in  
making multilayered music. She also uses other instruments such as  
metal objects, pan pipe, recorders, mbira, crap/contact microphones  
etc. Her music is consisting of acoustic and electronic sound-sources,  
analogue and digital electronics, processed sounds and concrete sounds.
Solo project: Tafjord has done several solo concerts the past years.  
her solo album, KAMA is released atPicadisc (Lasse Marhaug).
