MY UNSUCCESSFUL ATTEMPTS TO REVERSE BELIEFS BASED ON FEELINGS WITH FACTS BASED ON EVIDENCE

For Transmediale/CTM Vorspiel 2019 the Institut collaborates with Heath Bunting who is an artist that produces questions designed to upset the status quo and as a result has developed some expertise in security and stability, which he shares with others. For his exhibition in Berlin he presents (1) a workshop in how to communicate privately in an open environment using an encryption technique based on intimacy and (2) results from his lobby of over 12,600 British politicians on the issue of settlement of syrian white helmets in the UK.

INTIMACY ENCRYPTION WORKSHOP*

a workshop in how to communicate securely over any media using nothing more than sharing some special time together

it has been consistently shown that the majority of the most pessimistic predictions of criminality by corporations, governments and empires have come true

in a time ubiquitous surveillance used against all of our commercial, political and military best interests; personal, organisation and community communications security becomes an immediate basic need

we are mostly taught that security and privacy are built on creating distance.

in my experience, getting very close to people is often a better strategy, hence intimacy encryption: used very effectively by former fluffy groups such as Irish Republican Army and Palestine Liberation Organisation
